Travel tips self-catered trips

•  4 wheel drive vehicles preferable especially if venturing into the park

•  Apply for a KWS smart card for entry to the 6 major national parks.

•  Those who are hygiene conscious should carry their own towels and soap.

•  Do NOT get out of the vehicle inside the park unless at prescribed safe spots.

•  Do NOT make noise or throw things at the wildlife.

•  Do not litter the parks or lakes just because no one is watching. Such things affect the balance of the ecosytem.

•  If interested in spending the night, book in advance.

•  Find out exactly what is provided- don't assume.
